First time my wife and I had visited , very impressed bigger then imagined , flowers everywhere love the band stand , quirky shops and quaint harbour.
Building looks like Madonna's bra or perhaps the gas extractors in Slough... haven't quite decided... For this reason alone it's 4 stars.

We had a nice trip around the coast to see the cliffs and wildlife from the sea. There was very good access to the boat for any passenger and we had a comfortable seat to view the scenery. My only criticism would be that a little more detailed commentary would be nice, such as how the amazing rock formations were made and a little more information on the sea life. All in all though we enjoyed the cruise.
Boat trip was very good informative and enjoyable

What a lovely place to visit. Yes it does cost for entry, but that covers all day, come and go as you like. The beach is kept clean and there is a lifeguard on duty. Be aware if there is a wedding in you can only access part of the beach(what is called the ladies beach),but this is still lovely. Be aware this is not a sand beach, it is stones. But it has amazing rock pools and a great tidal pool to swim in.
A wonderful tidal pool to mess about in, especially inflatable boats etc. There is a lifeguard on duty, excellent toilet / changing facilities and a small shop. It is a shame that the larger cafe and play area at the entrance has been closed, also parking in the area is busy so suggest walking from one of the larger car parks in Ilfracombe. Well worth a visit for a relaxing time by the sea.
